Banu Cennetoğlu’s solo exhibition ne karanfil ne kurbağa.* (neither carnation nor frog.) is on view at İMALAT-HANE from October 25, 2025 to January 4, 2026, curated by Yavuz Parlar.
Banu Cennetoğlu’s practice interrogates the politics of knowledge -its production, classification, and circulation -through long-term research as well as archives of personal and collective memory. ne karanfil ne kurbağa. reflects on fatherhood, limits, loss, and power, while probing the ambiguities of both speaking and making promises. In the context of this collaboration, the correspondence, exchanges, and reflections between Cennetoğlu and curator Yavuz Parlar not only shape the exhibition’s narrative but also culminate in an accompanying publication titled nknk-erika.
*The title is quoted from the 5th section (âmenna) of Hasan Hüseyin Korkmazgil’s poem Analar.
