<FFFFIRE>

First presented as an independent satellite exhibition held during the 14th Gwangju Biennale (2023), <FFFFIRE>meets the audience in Istanbul for its second iteration, curated by Gyeyeon PARK (Professor, Suwon University). The exhibition takes shape through collaboration with a creative team composed of Jaewoo CHON, Director of Hyperspandrel; Youngnam KIM, Professor at Sunchon National University; and Hyeyoung KU, Director of KUNAM Studio.

In the exhibition <FFFFIRE>, “fire” is not the theme but a structure that reveals continuity by dissolving form. Each artist approaches this state of instability through their own methods — some by burning their works, others by reenacting this transformation digitally. The exhibition thus exists in an interval where destruction and rebirth coexist.
