This workshop invites participants to create their own healing mixtures, approaching the act of developing recipes as a space for creative speculation. Beginning with a condition or situation they wish to heal, participants intuitively explore relationships between herbs, spices, and various other ingredients to create their own mixtures. As each recipe is assembled in a jar, its ingredients and instructions for use are translated into a visual prescription. By the end of the workshop, these individual contributions come together to form a collective archive of recipes shaped by personal experiences, remembered knowledge, and imagined methods of healing.
The workshop explores how knowledge passed down from generation to generation circulates, while also playfully questioning how unverified knowledge can acquire a sense of credibility through recipes, prescriptions, and acts of documentation.
