Color, which makes it easier to identify objects in daily life, is more than just a material of paint—it is also a powerful means of communication that allows us to express what we see. This tool is not only physiological but also psychological, varying from person to person and carrying different meanings.

“Color Portraits” is a workshop that focuses on exploring how much a color can be freed from its social codes, common definitions, and standards of taste, and how it can differ from one individual to another. Participants will determine a tone of color both by thinking and by painting; in this process, they will have the opportunity to observe the conceptual connections they form with that color and create their own color portraits.
